Manpower Issues In Saudi Health Development

Article Abstract:

Saudi Arabia is a wealthy developing country with certain characteristics of undeveloped countries, such as a high infant mortality rate and short life expectancy. Its health care strategy is then to import and train primary care physicians such as internists, pediatricians, and general practitioners, with less need for highly specialized physicians. The majority of Saudi physicians are expatriates. Native Saudi physicians tend to gravitate toward health related entrepreneurial activities. As Saudis gradually acquire more Western dietary and cultural practices, their health needs will change also. Access to medical care is promoted for all Saudis, regardless of income or social class.

Rock aesthetics and musics of the world

Article Abstract:

Rock musicians and fans from various countries and cultures around the world resist the idea that rock constitutes a form of cultural imperialism. They view the introduction of rock music into local cultures and subsequent adaption by those cultures as enriching both to the locality and the form. Examples of rock-hybrids from around the world include Polish reggae, Argentinian 'rock nacional', and Italian hip-hop. An analysis of the rock aesthetic to generate new identities in contemporary communities is included.
