The effect of data collection mode on smoking attitudes and behavior in young African American and Latina women: face-to-face interview versus self-administered questionnaires

Article Abstract:

This article examines the effectiveness of two types of survey modes, face-to-face interviews and self-administered questionnaires, used to collect data regarding smoking prevention and cessation programs. The authors, employing both modes with 601 female Latinas and African Americans ages 16-21, conclude both are equally effective.
