The evolution of local production systems: the emergence of the "invisible mind" and the evolutionary pressures towards more visible "minds"

Article Abstract:

An explanation of the changes of dynamic matching between systematic properties of local production systems (LPS) and characteristics of the competitive environment is provided. Evolutionary pressures lead new patterns of relationships and interlocking behaviors, which is defined as a tendency for more 'visible minds' to assert themselves.

The impact of M&A on the R&D process - an empirical analysis of the role of technological- and market-relatedness

Article Abstract:

The effect of mergers and acquisition contracts on research and development activities of an organization is analyzed. The effect of technological and market-relatedness of the merging organizations on the M&A contracts are also analyzed. The conclusions drawn from examination of 31 mergers and acquisition contracts are presented.
