To love, honor, and build a life: a case for same-gender marriage

Article Abstract:

Society should recognize same-sex marriages because doing so is equitable and avoids prejudice and discrimination, and because society itself derives many benefits. Domestic partnerships have few of the protections and benefits of marriage, despite the equal taxation and other social contributions of gays and lesbians. Should Hawaii recognize same-sex marriage by judicial fiat, several avenues exist for recognizing such marriages in other states, beyond the full faith and credit clause of the US Constitution.

The Love and Relationship Test

Article Abstract:

'The Love and Relationship Test' CD-ROM allows young adults to assess their skills in the areas of marriage, compatibility, love, love aptitude, intimacy and romance. The program uses inclusive language that accommodates various orientations and sexual partners, and allows users to take tests alone or with a group. However, one drawback is that test results are too vague and provide little useful information.
