This is a study of teamwork in the work place: the (reduced) effect of supervisory support on job satisfaction as weighed against the benefits of autonomy and job enrichment.

Integrated manufacturing, empowerment, and company performance

Article Abstract:

The findings of a study conducted on United Kingdom's (UK) 564 manufacturing companies to understand the interconnection between Integrated Manufacturing (IM) that encompasses advanced manufacturing technology (AMT), total quality management (TQM), just-in-time inventory control (JIT) and empowerment that comprises job enrichment and skills enhancement have been discussed. The study also examines whether Integrated Manufacturing (IM) and empowerment leads to better productivity. The procedures used to conduct this study have been mentioned.

Validating the organizational climate measure: links to managerial practices, productivity and innovation

Article Abstract:

The process of developing and validating organizational climate measure (OCM) through analysis of responses from a large sample drawn from 55 manufacturing firms is presented. The measure demonstrated strong psychometric properties with high level of reliability and concurrent and predictive validity, which was determined through measures of managerial practices, productivity and innovation.
