Worldwide antidiscrimination laws and policies based on sexual orientation

Article Abstract:

The antidiscrimination laws and policies based on sexual orientation of different countries and international organizations were reviewed. Fourteen countries that have national laws to protect homosexuals and bisexuals from discrimination were included in the review. Also included were international jurispundence and policy precedents; policies of regional human rights bodies such as the Council of Europe; and the decision and actions by non-governmental organizations such as the Amnesty International, The International Human Rights Law Group and the Human Rights Watch.

New vaccines may give sexuality education advocates the shot they need

Article Abstract:

There has been strong interest in research into vaccines for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). The emergence of vaccines will place parents, public health officials and sexuality education advocates under pressure to reassess conventional STD prevention and sexuality education policies.
