Effects of differences in interreinforcer intervals between past and current schedules on fixed-interval responding

Article Abstract:

An experiment is conducted to analyze a mixed fixed-ratio differential-reinforcement-of-low-rate schedule at interreinforcer intervals. Studies concluded that the effects of behavioral history were under control of the interreinforcer intervals as descriptive stimuli.

Stimulus generalization of behavioral history

Article Abstract:

Some evidence is provided to show that the effects of behavioral history are generalized across stimuli. Behavioral history effects are observed when past experiences exert control over present behavior thereby reducing the control exerted by current contingencies.

Instructions as discriminative stimuli

Article Abstract:

Research about instructions suggests their effect can be changed by contingencies and that they can function as discriminative stimuli. Fixed-ratio schedules and variations in response rates are discussed.
