Examining the adoption of old-age security programs in the developing world

Article Abstract:

A study examines the adoption of two types of old-age security programs and mandatory privatized security programs in developing nations from 1960 to 1999. Results suggest that the study of social policy in the developing world is important for understanding processes behind the development of the welfare state.

Boredom during day activity programs in rehabilitation centers

Article Abstract:

The day activity programs in 53 rehabilitation centers in the Flemish region of Belgium that was conducted on 646 clients are discussed. It was seen that boredom occurred among the clients of these centers due to routinized activities that lacked intrinsic meaning and lack of emphasis on completion of task.
