Guatemalan perceptions of adoption

Article Abstract:

Guatemalan adults are consulted to explore their opinions of adoption in order to find out the general perceptions, concerns and fear that surround the process of international adoption and to identify perceived barriers to within-country adoption. Most of the people were positive towards international adoptions, but a minority viewpoint was expressed indicating that concerns about trafficking and mistrust are still evident.

Social work intervention with migrant workers in South Korea: Micro and macro approaches

Article Abstract:

Migrant workers are often alienated by disadvantages labor conditions as well as social discrimination as a whole, though they have emerged as a major force throughout Korean industry. Social workers in the work place can themselves utilize the micro and macro procedures of assisting troubled newcomers.
