Learning by comparing: Reflections on international student seminars

Article Abstract:

Key themes in the comparative literature related to the question of learning are explored and participant evaluations of cross-national seminar weeks held in London and Munich are traced. The seminar week's strength lies in bringing together people from countries and experiences to explore new aspects of welfare provision together and it was observed that this model is the basis of social work practice, concerned with understanding the complexities of human behavior.
