Measuring foster parent potential: Casey Foster Parent Inventory-Applicant Version

Article Abstract:

A description of the psychometric properties of the Casey Foster Applicant Inventory-Applicant Version (CFAI-A), a measure that is comprehensive for fostering potential designed to be completed by foster parents is presented. This measure shows potential to be used to improve decisions about how to support, monitor and retain foster families and to match, place and maintain foster children with foster families.

Measuring foster parent potential: Casey Foster Applicant Inventory-Worker Version (CFAI-W)

Article Abstract:

The psychometric properties of the Casey Foster Applicant Inventory-Worker Version (CFAI-W) that was designed in order to assess the potential of foster family care applicant to provide foster care is discussed. It was seen that the CFAI-W method could be used along with other methods to introduce standardization and accountability to the assessment of foster parent applicants.

The foster parent potential scale

Article Abstract:

The demographic characteristics of foster family applicants who were assessed using Foster Parent Potential Scale (FPPS) are examined. The characteristics of the workers who completed the FPPS are also examined.
