On certain factors that determine the present transformation of society and the family in Georgia

Society in the countries of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States), particular social groups in society, and the family have undergone transformation. In Georgia, under the conditions of the rapid transformation of society and the family it is an urgent need to draw up and implement the kind of perfected model of social welfare that will rule out the predicted danger.

The social and labor expectations of unemployed persons and their attitudes toward independent employment

Article Abstract:

Independent or self-employment plays an important role for the unemployed workforce, since it is one of the forms that help unemployed persons reintegrate into society. Hence, it is possible to make self-employment more widespread and to form the kind of middle class that is so essential to Russian society in a dynamic and consistent way.

Georgia: Persistent paternalism

Some of the problems faced by Georgia are low level of development of industry, a high percentage of unemployment, huge foreign debt, dependency on imported sources of energy and widespread corruption. A study is conducted to examine the social condition of the population of Georgia.
