Operationalizing evidence-based practice: The development of an institute for evidence-based social work

Article Abstract:

The development of a university-based institute for evidence-based social work and efforts to operationalise evidence-based practice by moving beyond academic discussions and using community of social work practitioners in the process of determining and implementing EBP is given. Continued education efforts to reconcile the EBP model with the complexity of populations and issues dealt with by social work practitioners and agencies is a major challenged faced by the institute.
