An overview is presented on the accomplishments of the Society for Social Work and Research, along with new goals and plans for future organizational management. Accomplishments include joining the boycott of South Carolina regarding the state's display of the Confederate Battle Flag; plans include higher standards for submitted papers and controlled organizational growth.

Views of evidence-based practice among faculty in Master Social Work programs: A national survey

Article Abstract:

A report on a national survey of faculty members in Master of Social Work programs and their views of evidence-based practice that is pertinent to three types of concerns is discussed. It is seen that the EBP movement has a challenge to persuade social work faculty to the importance of employing more rigorous evidentiary standards and keep pace with the emerging literature.
