Quality in qualitative evaluation: Issues and possible answers.

Article Abstract:

Qualitative evaluation studies are varied from quantitative ones in both purpose and method and therefore must be understood and evaluated on their own terms. The qualitative evaluation research is defined and the key parameters of quality that should be considered while conducting and evaluating these studies in terms that take their unique methods into account are described.

Confirmational response bias and the quality of the editorial processes among American social work journals

Article Abstract:

An experiment conducted to test the confirmational response bias among social work journals and to assess the timeliness and quality of the referee review process is presented. It is concluded that there are substantial problems of bias, timeliness, and quality in the editorial decisions and review processes of social work journals.
