Smoking cessation for weight-concerned women: Group vs. individually tailored, dietary, and weight-control follow-up sessions

Article Abstract:

A multidisciplinary treatment involving psychological, dietary, and exercise components followed two-week smoking cessation program. It was noticed that differences between conditions in postcessation weight gain were not much but if it did occur it was associated with subsequent smoking relapse in the group in only the follow-up condition.

The impact of smoking cessation on drug abuse treatment outcome

Article Abstract:

Research shows that smoking cessation launched concurrently with drug abuse treatment can result in greater drug-use abstinence after treatment completion. Data were obtained from 2,316 smokers participating in a drug treatment program.
