Substance use/abuse and anxiety sensitivity: what are the relationships?

Article Abstract:

Patients with anxiety sensitivity are so afraid of anxiety symptoms, they may turn to alcohol or cigarettes to deaden their feelings. More research into the causes of anxiety sensitivity is needed.
