Taiwan: an emerging hub for the East Asian regional economy

Article Abstract:

Taiwan enjoys the strategic position of becoming a potential center for commerce and information exchange in Asia and the Pacific. While its global and regional networks are already well-entrenched, it continues to shape its policies with the end in view of becoming an Asia-Pacific Regional Operations Center. Article Abstract:

The relationship between prices of agricultural goods, the international economy and economic development in Kenya was studied using different theoretical views. Consumer behavior and changes in the prices of monetary aggregates

Article Abstract:

The sensitivity of the cost-of-living to changes in the prices of commodities and monetary aggregates is examined. Likelihood ratio tests and maximum likelihood estimations are conducted to examine the effects of these changes on the cost-of-living. Results show that price- and income-induced changes substantially affected consumer tastes on the cost-of-living in the US from 1947 to 1975.
