Terrorism as an academic subject after 9/11: Searching the Internet reveals a Stockholm Syndrome trend

Article Abstract:

The reaction of U.S. and Israeli academic to the 11th September, 2001 terrorist attack, and on the changing status of terrorism as an academic field of study is discussed. The general trend of the academic courses shows signs of the Stockholm Syndrome because too many of these courses deals with a better understanding of terrorists motivations and even a better understanding of the role of Islam.
