The conference sessions provided international perspectives on housing and community development issues, similarities and differences in revitalizing and redevelopment efforts, highlighting NAHRO's responsibility to make people live long, happy, and healthy lives in safe, affordable housing with dignity and respect.

The New Market Tax Credits (NMTC) allocation was given to Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, which was the only city in the nation to receive this. Continued success and innovative leadership keeps this housing project on the cutting edge of redevelopment.
