The evaluation of a stress management program for middle school adolescents

Article Abstract:

A study involving 54 middle school students evaluated the effectiveness of a ten-week stress management program. The program educated the students in identifying the difference between stress and stressors and healthy and unhealthy stress. Students were also taught relaxation procedures and problem-solving strategies. Interagency collaboration with high-risk gang youth

Article Abstract:

This article examines social factors that interfere with the successful collaboration of social service agencies working with high-risk adolescents involved in gangs. Findings indicate that collaborations between agencies rely on clear communication and are often prematurely terminated due to a diffusion of responsibility and the assignment of blame for failures.
