The lock busters

Article Abstract:

An annual Dutch Open lock-picking competition is described where 50 or so men and women wield burglar tools and represent the international steel bolt-hacker diaspora. The rules comprise of each person getting a different lock with eight minutes to open their lock, then switching locks across table and beginning again for another eight minutes, and at the end of each round, whoever has a shorter combined time is the winner.

A group of Star Wars fanatics live out their passion by participating in lightsaber training in a dance studio in lower Manhattan every Tuesday. They use improvised lightsabers and practice choreographed swordplay.
