The sociometrics program archives: promoting the dissemination of evidence-based practices through replication kits

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the manner in which social workers can disseminate information about successful intervention techniques, for risky behavior related to sexually transmitted diseases and substance abuse, are examined. Topics include the research-to-practice feedback loop; the creation of intervention kits, which discuss intervention options, that can be disseminated among social workers across the nation; and the importance of continual reevaluation of intervention kits.

Reducing the digital divide for children in foster care: First-year evaluation of the building skills-building futures program

Article Abstract:

The first-year evaluation outcomes of a program developed to increase information technology access and skills among foster children and families within the context of a long-term foster care environment are described. Results indicated after a year in the program, increase in frequency of computer use in the foster families, confidence in using computers and the Internet, and frequency of e-mail with social workers.

Outcome measurements of an integrated employee assistance and work-life program

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to describe an innovative method for evaluating outcome measurements of an employee assistance and work-life program. The study revealed that after services, stress levels decreased, attendance improved, work performance improved and relationship with supervisors and coworkers improved.
