Prefab sprouting

Article Abstract:

Portable buildings are often thought of as being a temporary solution to increased space requirements even though many of the modern buildings have been constructed to last. The English Heritage recently identified 17 such buildings which should be added to the listed buildings of the United Kingdom because they were considered cost effective, practical, well designed and suitable for the purpose for which they were built. Relocatable buildings are environmentally friendly because they do not create waste or utilise chemicals whilst being built.

Undivided publication of research findings: a uniform editorial policy of the consortium of editors of journals relating to human development

Article Abstract:

The National Institute of Mental Health Editors' Consortium has established guidelines on how articles relating to human development research should be published. Research articles must have enough data in order to contribute to the discovery of new knowledge. Researchers should inform editors about data being used in more than one article. Copies of these articles must also be submitted to the editors. The guidelines will stop the repeated use of the same set of data that lead to the division of scientific literature.
