Union disruption in Norway

Article Abstract:

The disruption of marriages in Norway, with one of the worldEs highest divorce rates, is analyzed from the data obtained from the Norwegian KIRUT database. It is found that the marital stability increases with the number of children, but decreases, as the children get older.

Union disruption in Hungary

Article Abstract:

The impact of the cultural background, human capital, and labor force participation on union disruption of the Hungarian people are analyzed. It is shown that the lifetime occupational mobility has a positive effect on separation.

Union disruption in Greece

Article Abstract:

Marital and nonmarital disruption in Greece is studied using the 1999 Greek FFS data. The study reveals that children and premarital cohabitation have stabilizing effect on marriage.
