A fast and hot stove

Article Abstract:

The $200 Primus Century Titanium backpacking stove is simple to operate, boils water quickly and weighs just one pound, one ounce, with cannister. It has a detachable fuel lever, and folds flat into a case. Drawbacks include airplane restrictions against the carrying the propane/butane cannister.

Multifuel stoves: a field test of six backwoods cookers that burn almost anything except wood

Article Abstract:

Six lightweight, multifuel camping stoves were evaluated for performance, ease of use, customer service and efficiency. The $99 Peak 1 Apex II, the $59 MSR WhisperLite Internationale and the $82.50 MSR XGK II all earned good ratings. The other three had intermittent problems or flaws.
