Deep-water walleyes: when they head for the depths, your lure must follow

Article Abstract:

Trolling is the best way to fish for walleyes when they are in deep, open water. Walleyes may be at a dept of 35 feet or greater, but they can be reached relatively inexpensively by the use of a diving planer. Rods from 7-9 feet long are ideal for use with planers.
