Effect of glycine propionyl-L-carnitine on aerobic- and anaerobic- exercise performance

Article Abstract:

A study to evaluate the effect of glycine propionyl-L-carnitine supplementation and endurance training that was conducted for eight weeks on health men and women performing aerobic and anaerobic exercises is conducted. Findings show that one or three g/day of glycine propionyl-L-carnitine supplementation for eight weeks along with aerobic training did not improve aerobic or anaerobic exercise performance variables compare with aerobic exercise by itself.

Effect of Maltose-containing sports drinks on exercise performance

Article Abstract:

The aim of the present study is to examine the effect of maltose containing sports drinks on exercise performance, substrate metabolism, hormonal responses, and indices of fluid homeostasis during exercise. Carbohydrate drinks help to maintain plasma glucose at a higher level, no differences in performance could be detected after glycogen-depleting exercise.

Strategies for hydration and energy provision during soccer-specific exercise

Article Abstract:

Energy during a soccer match is provided predominately by aerobic metabolism with a rise in circulating free fatty acids as the match progresses. Based on this, studies are conducted to investigate the effect of sports drinks during soccer specific exercises on metabolism and performance.
