Effect of stage duration on physiological variables commonly used to determine maximum aerobic performance during cycle ergometry

Article Abstract:

A study is done to examine the effect of stage duration on the maximum rate of oxygen consumption, maximum heart rate, and many other physiological variables applied to found out maximum aerobic performance during cycle ergometry. Results reveal that differences in mechanical and physiological work is due to the disparity in heart rate and workload.

Effects of rest interval during high-repetition resistance training on strength, aerobic fitness, and repeated-sprint ability

Article Abstract:

The sprint performance, leg strength and fitness in aerobics are greatly affected by the duration of rest intervals in the training. The study conducted on 18 women in two groups with different rest intervals of 20 seconds and 80 seconds showed that the training with short rest intervals helps to improve the sprint performance
