Effects of an intrahospital exercise program intervention for children with leukemia

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the influence of a 16- week intrahospital supervised conditioning program in children receiving treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). It was observed that the young children perform well in both resistance and aerobic training in the maintenance phase of treatment against ALL.

Heart rate and performance parameters in elite cyclists: a longitudinal study

Article Abstract:

Target heart rate for elite cyclists is best established through a single laboratory testing session at the beginning of the competition season. Training loads based on this data would simplify the testing schedule for those in this sport.

Preferred pedalling cadence in professional cycling

Article Abstract:

A study of professional bicycle racers showed the the preferred cadence for time trials and flat ground is 90 rpm and the preferred cadence for hill climbing is 70 rpm.
