Influence of quiet rest and acute aerobic exercise performed in a naturalistic environment on selected psychological responses

Article Abstract:

This article examines the effects of aerobic exercise in a university fitness center and periods of quiet rest on psychological responses in female college students. Findings indicate that aerobic exercise and rest decreased anxiety and increased tranquility while exercise alone was associated with feelings of revitalization and positive engagement.

State anxiety responses to acute exercise in women with high social physique anxiety

Article Abstract:

The influence of individual differences in experienced appraising menace on state anxiety (SA) responses observed in 30 women with high social physique anxiety (SPA) during exercise is analyzed. It was observed that the changes in SA are determined by the environmental and individual differences.
