A study undertaken by Donald R. Davis, a biochemist at the University of Texas, shows that fruits and vegetables produced by heavy irrigation and fertilization are less nutritious. Health conscious people are advised to go for organic produce, which contains higher levels of certain vitamins and minerals than the conventionally grown kind.
