I.D., please? New horse identification cards help owners connect with stolen or lost horses

Article Abstract:

The American Veterinary Identification Devices (AVID), the world's leading recovery network for microchipped animals, has developed a new protection system to help owners to recover their stolen or lost horses. The HORSEcard is an identification card for the horse that contains the owners name, address and phone number, a color side-view photograph of the horse, its name, breed, gender, date of birth, HORSEtrac's 24-hour emergency phone number and the horse's microchip number.
