Put your pup on a pedestal: a different way to teach your dog casting and retrieving

The Dobbs Training Center in Marysville, CA, uses a pattern of four 2'x3', four-inch-high platforms to teach casting and hand signals. The dog associates the stations with safe places that correspond to commands.

Good vibrations: why your pup should have a pager

Dogtra has developed gun dog collars with a 'pager' button that makes the collar vibrate. This is useful in training, allowing the trainer to assert authority over the dog.
