Fifteen healthy habits that every rider must cultivate are presented. Among these good habits for both cycling and health are slow-warm-ups, varied rides and at least one hilly ride a week in one's regimen. Other healthy habits that must be nurtured include sharing a ride with someone with similar goals and aspirations and varying one's speed.

Article Abstract:

Ordinary cyclists who are working and have families must be careful not to overtrain. Riders must watch out for signs of excessive training such as a faster resting heart rate, slower speed and chronic fatigue. Once these signs are present, cyclists must rest to avoid riskier health problems.

Stop training in "no man's land." (maximum heart rate)

Article Abstract:

Cyclists should only reach 80%-85% of their maximum heart rate, which is also called 'no man's land,' during training to avoid fatigue. It is advisable to spend more time in the low-intensity training zone to reduce glycogen depletion and avoid stress.
