The chemoreflex: Adult versus child comparison

Article Abstract:

A comparison was conducted between adults and children in order to study the influence of chemoreflex on heart rate (HR) and blood pressure (BP) responses in the children and the adults. The study indicates that in children and in adults the influence of chemoreflex on HR and BP is similar.

Comparison of calcaneal ultrasound and DXA in young women

Article Abstract:

Research into the use of ultrasound to determine the capacity for high impact loading on the heel in female gymnasts is presented. Result indicate QUS parameters on the heel are higher in young women gymnast than in other undergoing regular weight-bearing activities.

Comparison of the oxygen uptake kinetics of club and Olympic champion rowers

Article Abstract:

The hypothesis that elite rowers would possess a faster, more economic oxygen uptake response than club standard rowers is tested. Results observed that there is advantageous adjustment of oxidative processes from rest to work.
