Twenty-five years of sport performance research in the Journal of Sports Sciences

Article Abstract:

The content of published articles over the last 25 years since 1983 on the topic of sports performance is presented. Key areas discussed in the manuscripts included evaluation and importance of talent, technical and tactical identification using field tests and through specific training to enhance athlete performance.

Effects of time of day and distance upon accuracy and consistency of throwing darts

Article Abstract:

The accuracy and consistency with which the darts are thrown at a dartboard are good models for exploring aspects of motor performance. The aspects include effects of time of day, their links with body temperature and fatigue, and the trade-off between accuracy and force.
