Zing SLR Bag

Article Abstract:

Zing Designs' SLR bag won a gold award in the consumer products categry of the 1992 I.D. Annual Design Review. The Zing bag is a lightweight padded covering for single-lens reflex cameras. It is made from neoprene, a protective elastic product, is reversible and comes in various colors to allow fashion variations. Any lens size can be accomodated by the Zing bag. This is made possible by a patented cover flap that stretches over the lens, which is then inserted through a hole on the front of the main bag. Phil Alwitt of Zing Designs, San Francisco, CA, created the design.

Direct measures

Article Abstract:

Bunkers with viscosity of up to 700 cSt are being widely used by ships worldwide and engine manufacturers usually require the fuel to go below 20 cSt by the time it reaches the injectors. This is done by heating and, on many ships, checking its viscosity by monitoring temperature. However, using the traditional method of controling fuel viscosity is fraught with risks for erroneous readings. Thus, several firms have devised new measuring techniques. Alfa Laval AB, for example, has developed a system which uses a vibrating T-shaped rod inserted in the fuel flow.
