Environmental support

Article Abstract:

Norwegian firm Simon Mokster Shipping has acquired the MT6000 platform supply vessel (PSV) as part of the firm's fleet upgrade. The MT6000 was chosen because of its low emissions, reduced fuel consumption and low levels of noise vibration. In addition, Simon Mokster was impressed with the strict compliance of the ship with safety and environmental standards. The improved version of the MT6000 features diesel-electric propulsion and a new tank arrangement. The PSV was built by YVC Ysselwerf.
