Gulf repair looking good

Article Abstract:

Dubai Drydocks and ASRY are serious competitors in the ship repair industry with facilities competing through location, price and quality. The docks mainly handle tankers doing business in the Persian Gulf with traffic registering a healthy total of 100 in 1996 while the Singapore yards averaging only 70 per year. The two facilities boast that they can further improve their capacity and services in the coming years enabling them to give other yards a run for their money.
