It is Possible to Make Ballpark Cost Estimates

Article Abstract:

Considering a computer system for a purchasing department requires a detailed estimation of cost. Ranges of cost are listed with respect to the number of buyers involved and the amount of information used. Other factors include company size, degree of detail, and the nature of the business. Adding people to a computer system makes costs go up in a straight line. These guidelines reflect realistic cost approximations on which to base decisions.
