On-road measures of pedestrians' estimates of their own nighttime conspicuity

Article Abstract:

Most pedestrian fatalities happen at night because pedestrians fail to understand the magnitude of nighttime conspicuity problem. Hence, pedestrians need to be educated about the dangers of interacting with traffic at night.

High visibility safety apparel and nighttime conspicuity of pedestrians in work zones

Article Abstract:

Attributes of retroreflective personal safety garments on pedestrian conspicuity at night were studied. Design attributes to make the personal safety garment conspicuous, were analyzed.
