Semi-submersible with redundant DP and azimuthing pods

The Tai An Kou, the first of a pair of 18,000 dwt semi-submersible heavy lift ships, has been completed by Guangzhou Shipyard International. The ship has fully-redundant class 2 dynamic positioning and azimuthing podded propulsion.
