Chris Smith

Article Abstract:

United Kingdom Labour Party Shadow Heritage Minister Chris Smith is a keen environmentalist and operates a holistic approach to tourism. He does not believe in a privatised railway system as he feels it will detract tourists by being uncoherent. He believes the United Kingdom should promote itself better overseas to attract more tourists. He acknowledges the decline of the traditional British seaside resort and believes it should be addressed more seriously, particularly as the tourist industry employs 1.5 million people and accounts for a large proportion of export earnings.
