Article Abstract:

The Library Association is launching new initiatives to combat the threat to the library service of reduced book funds and branch closures. The Association wants library users to write to their MPs and lobby local councillors and its Library Power campaign will concentrate on children's entitlement to decent libraries. The Department of National Heritage (DNH) has produced a report that considers how children's access to library resources can be improved.
