On the road

Article Abstract:

Restaurants and foodservice operators see strong customer potential for Canada for national highways that stretch to 24,256 km. However, the country offers limited opportunities since there is a small number of sites with substantial traffic flow to justify expansion. The best potential market for such expansion is the Windsor-Montreal corridor in Ontario and Quebec, which offers urban centers marked by high traffic flow.

Caffeine and croissants

Article Abstract:

Cafe operators are incorporating more food in their menus to satisfy the preference of coffee lovers. Cafes are already becoming a strong competition to major coffee chains not only because of broader food offerings but also with respect to sales, location and average check. While cafes require bigger overheads, they compensate by providing unique and customized food items prepared by private food commissaries.
