Slow Food was founded in 1989 by Carlo Petrini to promote traditional cooking, and the movement has grown to 70,000 members throughout 45 countries. The Slow Food organization is now in Canada, but it is in its infancy, and its activities and viewpoints are varied.

The restaurateurs Canada are planning to buy female Jerseys as the price of milk is rising considerably. The overhead cost of running the restaurants are becoming very high since the Canadian Diary Commission hiked the industrial milk prices.
