The food and beverage manager and executive chef at Island Lake Resort, Fernie, Yan Therien was identified for his cooking skills by another chef and persuaded him to complete Chef de Cuisine designation. He introduced sushi cuisine to this town and added more variety to the wine cellar of the resort.
