There is now a very wide range of hot beverage systems available to operators of restaurants and leisure facilities. It is now possible to ensure automatic dispensing of speciality beverages such as machiatto, caffe latte and espresschoc, and even instant coffees can be offered in many different blends and strengths. It is becoming increasingly important for operators to offer an interesting and innovative range of coffees, teas, speciality blends and branded hot chocolate drinks.

Article Abstract:
Gardner Merchant, contract caterer, has become involved in other businesses. At Ascot racecourse in summer-1996 it ran a jazz festival, for which the marketing director, Tony Barnard, was responsible. Barnard believes that such a successful venture could be repeated regularly and expanded on. The company has also invested in improving the conference and banqueting centre at Lords cricket ground, where it has employed a sales manager. It has also done similar work at Murrayfield.
