In on the act

Article Abstract:

The UK Children Act, 1989 has implications for the provision of play facilities for children. Voluntary, stautory and commercial providers of children's services must conform to the Act's requirements. The National Children's Play and Recreation Unit has conducted seminars to explore implications. It welcomes the attempt to coordinate services making best use of resources and expertise. However, registration and assessment fees may limit service provision.
